The Government, specifically Forestry Departments, should designate and protect as heritage sites those areas in each district which are traditionally renowned for their medicinal plant and mineral resources, including sacred groves, maintain a community/scared medicinal garden, museum and database.

NGOs/CBOs should promote home herbal gardens for human and livestock health care. Women's self-help groups could have a unique role in this.

The Medicinal Plants Board should encourage pilot commercial cultivations of threatened medicinal plants ineach district.
