Opened in October 2003, one District Clinic serves as the primary treatment and research center for Gandeepam’s HIV programme. Other locations see HIV patients, but in lower numbers.
All HIV patients at this clinic are treated free and have agreed to participate in Gandeepam’s research programme.
In the last 6 years, this clinic received nearly 2000 patients through recruitment and referrals. 100 were diagnosed with HIV.
6-15 new HIV patients are seen each week. |
